KIPP Atlanta Schools Welcomes Dr. Tauheedah F. Jones as Chief of Staff
KIPP Atlanta Schools is proud to welcome Dr. Tauheedah F. Jones as our new Chief of Staff, joining the organization at an exciting time as we continue advancing our KIPP ATL 2030 strategic vision.
As Chief of Staff, Dr. Jones will serve as a strategic partner to CEO Dr. Michael Cormack Jr. and the Executive Cabinet, helping drive organizational priorities, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and support the execution of key strategic initiatives. She will also oversee Human Resources, helping KIPP Atlanta continue to attract, develop, support, and retain exceptional talent across the organization.
Dr. Jones is a nationally recognized educational leader, strategist, and advocate for educational excellence and access with more than two decades of exceptional experience spanning: strategic leadership, systems redesign, and organizational excellence. Her ability to build strong relationships, lead through complexity, and translate vision into action will help strengthen KIPP Atlanta as we continue creating joyful, academically excellent schools for every scholar.
Most recently, Dr. Jones worked with the National Center on Education & the Economy, the leading U.S. based researcher of high performing systems. In this capacity, she supported the advancement of education policy, leadership development, and systems-level improvements across 11 states in the Southeast. She also served as an ESOL History teacher in Los Angeles Unified School District, the first Chief Equity Officer for Atlanta Public Schools, a Senior Fellow at the Georgia Governor’s Office of Student Achievement and an adjunct professor at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education. She also currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Kennesaw State University in the Education Leadership Department.
Dr. Baker-Jones holds a B.A. and M.Ed. degree from UCLA, an MPA in Non-Profit Management from Rutgers University, and a Doctorate in Education Leadership from Harvard University.
