COVID-19 Updates

KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools is committed to providing our students and families with updates about COVID-19 . This page will be updated with materials and resources as they become available.

COVID-19 Reporting and Exposure and Masking Guidelines

If your child has tested positive for COVID-19 or has been exposed to an individual who tested positive for COVID-19, please keep your child at home and complete the Scholar COVID-19 Report Form. Click here to access the form or copy and paste into the browser

KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools are mask-optional. Please note there are some instances where masks are still recommended. KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools will continue to monitor guidance from the CDC and DPH and make updates as necessary.

  • Individuals who end isolation after 5 days should still wear a mask for the remainder of the 10 days after they develop symptoms (or have tested positive if they show no symptoms).
  • And regardless of vaccination status, individuals exposed to a positive COVID-19 case should continue to wear a mask for the full 10 days after exposure (per Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) quarantine recommendations).

COVID-19 Surveillance Testing

End of COVID-19 Surveillance Testing at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools (as of August 1, 2023)
For the 2023 – 2024 school year, COVID-19 rapid antigen surveillance testing will no longer be available at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools. These changes are in response to the testing and funding availability of the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and the continuous downward trend of COVID-19 cases.
