Yesterday, the Fulton County School District announced that schools will be closed today due to a confirmed case of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the district. As a result, we also announced the closure of KIPP South Fulton Academy while we determined the impact to our other KIPP schools located throughout Fulton County.
KIPP Atlanta Schools share services and staff which require us to consider every stakeholder across our community when making decisions about closures for our schools. Our staff and shared services teammates work and travel to multiple schools within our region throughout the day. Based on this concern and out of an abundance of caution for our students, families and staff, all KIPP Atlanta Schools (listed below) are closed today, March 10th.
The health and safety of all of our stakeholders is of the highest priority. As such, we make all decisions in alignment with this belief.
Please expect to receive another KIPP Atlanta Schools update no later than 6 p.m. today, March 10th.
