More than a fundraiser, the Night of Impact at the Buckhead Club was an evening of celebration, inspiration and generosity. From the moment guests arrived, it was clear that this was more than just a gathering—it was a powerful moment dedicated to honoring our story, showcasing our scholars, and a look ahead at the opportunities we are creating together.
One of the night’s most breathtaking moments was our scholars’ stunning ensemble performance, a tribute to black cultural pieces from scenes of Wakanda, Hidden Figures, and Martin. Their talent, poise, and passion reminded everyone why investing in their futures is essential. The night was also filled with an opportunity to honor David Jernigan with the Trailblazer of Excellence and Service Award, recognizing his nearly decade-long leadership in shaping KIPP Atlanta’s success. His vision and dedication have had a lasting impact on our schools and community.
We aim to reach $350,000 by March 31st and are only $100,000 away from this goal. Torrey Bates, Managing Director of Development and Engagement, delivered a compelling call to action, sharing how your giving is creating opportunities for our scholars and looking into investing in KIPP Forward, upcoming summer learning initiatives, and 21st-century classroom upgrades. “Giving isn’t just about donating; it’s about ensuring our scholars have every opportunity to excel, explore, and achieve their dreams.” His words resonated deeply, and the generosity in the room was palpable.
