Head of Schools

Tasha Davis is the Head of Schools for KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools. Prior to her role as Head of Schools, Tasha served as the founding Principal of KIPP Soul Primary School, KIPP Metro Atlanta’s fifth principal school, established in 2018. Tasha has also served as the Principal of KIPP Vision Academy.

Tasha began her career in education as a Kindergarten Teacher in 2002 and continued her career as a first grade teacher in California, a third grade teacher and Assistant Principal in Brooklyn and an Assistant Principal in Atlanta before moving into her Principalship. She earned a B.S. degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University, an MAT degree in the Art of Teaching at Grand Canyon University and a certification in Turnaround Schools from Harvard University.

Tasha has been celebrated for her years of service as a KIPP Principal and as a KIPP Metro Atlanta teammate.

Above all, Tasha believes that every KIPPster should know the strength of their minds and the value of their voices. Our scholars are on a journey to powerfully pave a path of impact across Atlanta and the world and Tasha believes she is a conduit in providing support to schools and Principals so that all of our scholars can truly be free to live the choice-filled lives they deserve. Tasha’s own son is just beginning his educational journey and too young to be a KIPPster yet but Tasha looks forward to the day he will experience the joy of being a KIPP scholar.
