About Sid Harris

Professor and Dean Emeritus

Sidney E. Harris is a private investor and an independent trustee of the Virtus Mutual Funds Family and several closed-end funds. From 2007-2017, he served as the Independent Chairman of the Board of the Ridgeworth Funds. In 2019, he was named a Fund Directions Advisory Board member. He is also a member of the Mutual Fund Directors Forum (MFDF) board.

He served as dean (1991-1996) of the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University. And dean (1997-2004) of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Management. He also has extensive corporate board and international business experience with asset management and technology companies. Sid served on the board of several nonprofits, including Beta Gamma Sigma, AACSB International, International University of Grand Bassam Foundation, and Camp Coca-Cola.

Mr. Harris received a B.A. from Morehouse College in Mathematics, and his M.S. and Ph.D. from Cornell in Engineering.
