About Lakeesha Ramdhanie

Chief of Staff

Lakeesha Ramdhanie currently serves as Chief of Staff for KIPP Atlanta Schools, where she leads strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, executive team operations, and stakeholder engagement. In this role, she drives organizational alignment, manages key partnerships, oversees performance and communications functions, and upholds the culture and focus of the regional support team in service of schools.

Since joining KIPP in 2009 as a founding Kindergarten teacher at KIPP SPARK Academy in Newark, NJ, Lakeesha has held several leadership roles within KIPP Atlanta Schools. She was the founding Assistant Principal of KIPP STRIVE Primary—the region’s first elementary school—before becoming Principal in 2017. She went on to serve as Chief Schools Officer, where she led the region’s academic strategy, principal management, school culture, and leader development.

A proud graduate of Spelman College (B.A. in Psychology) and Columbia University’s Teachers College (M.A. in Organizational Leadership), Lakeesha is deeply committed to community impact and educational equity. She is a LEAD Atlanta Class of 2020 alum and a former Miles Family Fellow. Lakeesha was named Assistant Principal of the Year for Atlanta Public Schools and continues to champion excellence and innovation across the K–12 pipeline. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her family and attending local festivals.
