About Joe Arnold

Retired Senior Vice President and Manager Not-For-Profit and Government Banking

Joe Arnold retired in 2021 from Truist (formerly SunTrust) after a 40-year career with the bank. His last role was leading the Not-for-Profit & Government Banking division for 20 years. Arnold served clients in the following industries: healthcare entities; educational institutions, public and private; faith-based organizations; cities, counties, and state agencies. Previous roles included leading the company’s New York Corporate Banking team, the North GA Credit Services division, and other sales teams and quality control initiatives.

In retirement, Joe continues to serve on the boards of nonprofits vital to him: The Robert Woodruff Foundation, Achieve Atlanta, Atlanta Mission, John & Mary Franklin Foundation, KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, GOAL SSO, Greater Atlanta Christian School, GACS Foundation, YMCA of Metro Atlanta, and the advisory board of the Atlanta Area Council – Boy Scouts of America.

Joe is a University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce (Finance concentration) graduate. He is also a Leadership Atlanta Class of 2003 graduate.
