About Irving Williams III

Managing Director of KIPP Forward

Irving oversees the Metro Atlanta KIPP Forward program which provides college and career exploration and support to scholars and families of scholars K-16. Irving has a deep passion for supporting student career discovery and pursuits towards tertiary pathways, including higher education, career and technical education (CTE). He joined KIPP Atlanta after serving as Associate Director of Student Life and Engagement at Emory University, where he led the student engagement strategy for the Full-Time MBA programs. Irving has over 10 years of experience in youth leadership development, student engagement, college match and persistence advising, academic advising, enrollment management, residence life/housing, and financial aid.

Irving holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus in psychology and an MBA, both obtained from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. He is currently a doctoral student at the University of Georgia, pursuing an Ed.D. in Workforce Education and Training. Outside of KIPP, Irving enjoys spending time with “his ladies”, who includes wife, Andrea and daughters, Nia Myah and Kris Shannon Williams.
