About Gayle Burnett

Founder

Gayle Burnett has led and facilitated courageous conversations regarding diversity, race, and equity for much of her lifetime. She founded Peace of Culture in 2018 to express her commitment to the work. Gayle co-authored Peace in Everyday Relationships (Hunter House Publishers, 2003). As a past partner and principal of Inter-Change Consultants and as the Atlanta Coordinator for the National Resolving Conflict Creatively Program, she worked tirelessly towards ending violence and racism in the world. She joined the Atlanta Public Schools in 2003, serving in several capacities, including the Executive Director of Innovation. Gayle joined the board of KIPP Metro Atlanta in May 2019. She received her B.A. and M.A. in Economics from the City College of New York and is a Fellow Alum of Harvard’s Strategic Data Partnership.

Why I love KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools: In a world designed to make nearly impossible the realization of dreams held by black, brown, and underserved people, KIPP Metro Atlanta works daily to help each young person they serve find their path to fulfillment.
